How to Rent a Bike in Phuket

What You Need

Minimum: passport (for the contract — we don't keep the original, that's the principle) and any international driving permit. No Thai license required. For scooters under 125cc police checks are rare, but in case of an accident, the insurance claim is harder without a license — we recommend getting an IDP.

If you arrived without one, that doesn't block the rental. We hand over the bike on your passport. The decision to ride without a license is on you; we recommend getting an IDP before flying to Thailand (your local DMV issues it in 1-2 business days).

Minimum age — 18. We don't require riding experience, but if it's your first time on a scooter, tell us — we'll match you with the lightest, most stable bike (Honda Scoopy 110, Yamaha Fino).

The Process

Step 1: message us on WhatsApp or Telegram with your dates and which bike interests you. Not sure? Describe your routes and group size — we'll match you.

Step 2: agree on delivery. We deliver anywhere on Phuket — hotel, villa, airport. Delivery is free in most zones (Patong, Kata, Karon, Rawai, Chalong, Bang Tao, Surin, Kamala, Phuket Town).

Step 3: on-site — a short briefing if you're new, walkaround inspection together, photos on the spot. You sign the rental agreement in English (parallel RU/EN if needed), leave the deposit. You're off.

Deposit and Payment

What's Next

Included: two helmets, phone mount, basic health insurance, replacement bike if it breaks down through no fault of yours, delivery to your hotel in most zones.

Not included: fuel (we hand over with conditional zero — you fill what you use), gloves and rain jacket (we sell them at 200-400 ฿), police fines (if you get one, you pay).

Return: we collect from you at your convenience, any day from 09:00 to 21:00. Return at the same fuel level you took it; otherwise we charge the difference.
